Join us for a plant walk around Bradford Market! We will learn about local, edible, and medicinal plants, identification, safe and sustainable harvesting, preparations, and a brief introduction of herbal medicine. Led by Kendall Hathcock, clinical herbalist and forager with seven years experience. Open to all levels of learning.
You will receive a sketchbook and pencil to take notes in and to draw sketches of the plants for future reference! Local homesteader, Megan Ross, will be here to lead a discussion on the benefit of gluten free sourdough and how it differs from wheat-based starters. She will teach you how to start your own starter from wild yeasts, discuss the benefits of cultured foods, and demonstrate how to feed a starter. Megan will also share recipes and flour blends to help you find the texture you desire.
